The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) is a national, nonprofit organization whose mission is to substantially increase the representation of American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, First Nations and other indigenous peoples of North America in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) studies and careers.
AISES will celebrate its 41st National Conference in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on October 4-6, 2018. The National Conference theme this year is “Honor the Past. Be the Future.” Each year, the AISES National Conference attracts the nation’s brightest American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian and First Nations students and professionals. This three-day event includes a Career Fair, dynamic nationally recognized speakers, panel discussions, and workshops for the 2,500+ students, teachers, tribal leaders and other professionals.
AISES, through the 2018 AISES National Conference Local Volunteer Committee, is seeking donations for student prizes during this year’s conference.
Student Prizes: Students attending the conference are treated every year, but this year the 2018 AISES National Conference Local Volunteer Committee seeks your assistance in providing all student attendees with gift cards specifically for the purchase of electronic programs and devices. Your donation will allow the students to purchase the software or device they need for their academic or future professional needs.
There is no legacy more lasting than giving educational opportunities today for the benefit of future generations. Our Native elders teach us that we are all directly responsible for each other and that we must look to the future of seven generations.
On behalf of the AISES family thank you!
