Position Title:
Health Analytics Director
What you will do:
As the Health Analytics Director, you will oversee professional teams responsible for analyzing and interpreting health data into useful and meaningful information to equitably improve Oregon’s health care system. This position plays a critical role in research and analytics of various health care data sources to inform future efforts, to improve health care for all Oregonians. Oregon is a nationally recognized leader in health system transformation, and at the core of that is our focus on increasing accountability and transparency in health system.Your leadership will help OHA identify new or enhanced opportunities to analyze health equity data to inform understanding of disparities and support development of appropriate interventions. You will be responsible to establish overall priorities, reporting and accountability measure to meet the goal of health system transformation. This position directly manages four areas of work:

 

  • Data Integration,
  • Health Systems Research & Data,
  • Metrics Management & Reports, and
  • Health Programs Analysis and Measurement

 

This key position makes decisions that ultimately impact the health and availability of affordable health care to Oregonians across the state, including to over one million Oregon Health Plan members, who originate from racially, ethnically, culturally, gender- and ability- diverse communities throughout the state.

What we are looking for:

 

  • Eight years of progressive management experience in a public or private organization, which included responsibility for each of the following: a) development of program rules and policies, b) development of long-and-short range goals and plans, c) program evaluations, and d) budget preparation   
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical skills, including working collaboratively across OHA divisions, programs and with external partners.
  • Proven understanding of clinical, financial, operational metrics, and statistical software packages.
  • Ability to develop a strategic vision for data use and analytics in the state to support the Triple Aim and position Health Policy and Analytics Division as a trusted, reliable source of data and information.Ability to improve internal processes for data use and analytics support
  • Experience in advancing health equity, addressing systemic health disparities and collaborating with diverse, vulnerable and underrepresented populations.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating policies and programs that promote equity and inclusion and reduce racial and ethnic disparities.
  • Experience, knowledge, and/or ability to learn about best practices in collecting, analyzing, and disseminating granular data on race, ethnicity, language, disability and sexual orientation/gender identity.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams to weave together and analyze large, complex data sets and synthesize it to key findings related to performance or trends in the health system

 

This is a full time, permanent, executive service supervisory position and is not represented by a union.
