TriMet Contracting Opportunity – Washington Park Station Improvements Project

TriMet is seeking proposals from qualified general contractors to provide Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) Services for the Washington Park Station Improvements Project.  This project also offers multiple subcontracting opportunities: demolition, electrical, paint, signage for certified firms.  A pre-proposal conference will be held on Tuesday, 8/23/2016 at 11am.

If you are interested as a either prime contractor or subcontractor, register in TriMet’s E-Bid System to view documents. Proposals are due by 2pm on Thursday, September 8, 2016.

August 31, 2016The Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) Career Planning and Counseling Center in partnership with WorkSource Portland Metro East is hosting the Career Pathways & Money for College Fair 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on August 31, in the Student Union at 26000 SE Stark St. in Gresham.

The fair offers students and community members the opportunity to meet with regional employers in the three hottest job sectors in Oregon: Healthcare, Manufacturing and IT to learn about career paths, job growth and salary ranges. MHCC program reps will be on hand to help connect you to the career education of your choice… along with grant and scholarship opportunities to help you get there!

Contracting/business development event for Native owned businesses

SBA Portland District is very pleased to present an event with the Indian Health Service/US Health & Human Services targeted to Native American owned firms.  The event is Aug. 16th at our building (620 SW Main St., Room 101), from 9 am to Noon.  Please join us (RSVP for the event here:  http://webcast.nccsite.com/hhs-osdbu/building-bridges) and share this info with others who may be interested.

Native Procurement Technical Assistance Program (NPTAC) will also be participating.  After the program from 9-Noon, NPTAC and SBA are offering one-on-one appointments with firms/tribal entities with specific questions on federal contracting, certifications and capital access.  To set up a one-on-one with a NPTAC counselor, firms can send a request to Marnie@NativePTAC.org.  To set up a one-on-one with SBA on contracting or capital access, please send a request to Melissa.Davis@sba.gov.  Appointments will be held in the same building, specific room assignments to be announced the day of.
