The Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs is presenting its 29th Annual Luncheon and Trade Show.
Over 130 small and large business exhibitors will be under one roof to help you network your business.
State, county and federal government agencies also attend the event to find opportunities with small business.
Luncheon runs from 12pm-1:30,iIndividual luncheon tickets are $85.00
Tradeshow admission is free and runs 10am-12pm, 1:30-3pm

Join other businesses throughout the State of Oregon and Washington as we congregate, get to meet each other and discuss “What is Working” and “What is Not Working.”

Professional service businesses are invited to attend this free workshop. This workshop will prepare you for future contracting opportunities with Metro. Learn about doing business with Metro and how to respond to RFPs. Work with staff from the State of Oregon to register for ORPIN and COBID (Formally Minority, Women owned Small Emergent Businesses) certification. Attendees are eligible for 2 free hours of one on one proposal writing assistance.
Bonus! The best way to grow your business is building relationships! Join us for a no-host Happy Hour immediately following this Proposal Workshop. Networking with fellow participants and members of the Metro team.

Who is invited: Everyone affiliated with the Native community in the Portland area, with a special invitation to families with children.
If there are any Native organizations, including AISES of course, that would like to have a table or set up relevant activities, please tell me by March 1. We would love to have you!

Apply for AIANTA’s Tourism and Hospitality Scholarship Program. Established to provide American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian students with financial assistance to earn a degree or certificate in the hospitality, tourism, recreation, culinary arts or related fields. AIANTA will award three (3) individuals who have met all scholarship application criteria. AIANTA would like to encourage Indigenous students to build their careers in the the tourism industry while sustaining and strengthening their cultural legacy.
$1,000 per academic year (Fall/Spring semester only), $500 per semester
Deadline for applying:
July 28, 2017 for the Fall 2017 semester
December 1, 2017 for the Spring 2018 semester
