The Farm to Food competition is dedicated to fostering growth among women entrepreneurs with food and beverage businesses in Oregon and Washington. Women entrepreneurs compete for a total of $40,000 to help launch, grow or scale their businesses. To apply for the 2019 competition, complete the online application by January 31, 2019 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time. Any questions? Contact Lisa Benson at lisa.benson@nasda.org Eligibility Woman-owned or operated business Developed food or beverage product Business based in Oregon or Washington (e.g., business is incorporated/licensed in Oregon or Washington) 18 years of age or older Prizes Grand Prize (judges’ pick): $20,000 People’s Choice (based on audience votes): $10,000 Runner-up 1: $5,000 Runner-up 2: $5,000 Timeline January 1, 2019 at 8:00 am Eastern Time Online application opens. February 1 – 15, 2019 Judges complete a confidentiality form to ensure the information they read or see in the applications remains confidential. Judges review online applications and select the Final Four applicants. February 15, 2019 NASDA Foundation will announce Final Four applicants. NASDA Foundation will notify all applicants of the judges’ decision for the Final Four. February 26 – 27, 2019 Feb. 26: Final Four will compete in the final round of the competition taking place at the 2019 NASDA Winter Policy Conference in Arlington, VA. Feb. 27: Final Four are awarded four cash prizes: Grand Prize ($20,000), People’s Choice Award ($10,000), First Runner-Up ($5,000), Second Runner-Up ($5,000). Judges and Confidentiality All judges who review the applications for the online round and live finals round will sign a confidentiality form that states all information they view is confidential and cannot be shared or disclosed.
