Job Description:

What You Will Do The primary purpose of this position is to act as a senior policy and operations advisor to the Disparity Study Manager and the EGS Administrator.  The primary responsibilities of this position will be to lead the State of Oregon’s first statewide disparity study, focused on procurements and contracting. The incumbent may also plan and lead future large scale statewide projects focused on strategic initiatives and implementing best practices, operation changes, and process improvement opportunities.For more information regarding the duties of this position, please click here

What We Are Looking For A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and five years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.

Any combination of experience and education equivalent to eight years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.Candidates who are the most competitive will also reflect the following:

Employee is required to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license issued by the state where the employee resides or provide an acceptable alternate mode of transportation.

Skilled in Program/Project Management, particularly in the areas of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Skilled in written and verbal communications, and communication strategies.

Skilled and experienced in developing authentic partnerships with public agencies, businesses and other DEI community stakeholders. Establishes and maintains relationships with representatives of DEI, ethnic and/or culturally specific organizations such as ethnic chambers of commerce.

Skilled in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and supplier diversity policy development.

Knowledge and ability to research and evaluate current trends in supporting small businesses, particularly minorities and women to support philosophy and changes in practice and utilizations of COBID certified firms in Oregon.

Knowledge of change management principles.

The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect the additional 6.95%
