Job Description

What You Will Do Reporting directly to the Administrator of Enterprise Goods & Services, the Disparity Study Manager is responsible for policies and practices related to equitable contracting throughout state government.  The primary focus for the coming year is to oversee the staff and contractors conducting the statewide disparity study on procurement and contracting.  This Manager is responsible for the successful completion of the study which will assess, quantify, and evaluate the degree to which minority- and women-owned businesses face discrimination in state contracting opportunities and make appropriate recommendations to address findings.For more information regarding the duties of this position, please click here

What We Are Looking For Three years of management experience in a public or private organization which included responsibility for each of the following: a) development of program rules and policies, b) development of long- and short-range goals and plans, c) program evaluation, and d) budget preparation.

OR

Two years of management experience in a public or private organization which included responsibility for each of the following: a) development of program rules and policies, b) development of long- and short-range goals and plans, c) program evaluation, and d) budget preparation; AND 45-48 quarter hours (30-32 semester hours) of graduate level coursework in management.

OR

Three years of professional experience as a program/project leader, assigning and reviewing work of professional staff (e.g., engineers, etc.) including project responsibility for developing goals and objectives, project evaluation, and monitoring and controlling or preparing a budget.Candidates who are the most competitive will also reflect the following:

Leadership ability including interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and servant leadership.

Collaborative skills and relationship management, values authentic partnerships, in particular with public agencies, local community-based organizations, and culturally specific non-profit organizations to advance supplier diversity initiatives.

Knowledge and understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion values and principles. Ability to put into practice equity and racial justice values through intentional partnership building, self-awareness, and action.

Communicating information effectively both orally and in writing.

Ability to work well under pressure.

Ability to collect, organize and evaluate information to produce recommendations for action.

Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers.
