Chehalem Ridge Nature Park celebration – join Metro at an opening celebration of this new nature park!

Celebrate one of Metro’s newest parks with free food, music and activities on Friday June 17, 2022 from 10:00am – 4:00pm.  Dedication celebration begins at 2 p.m.

Free event activities:

·       Explore the park with guided nature walks in both English and Spanish

·       Arts and crafts and hands-on activities

·       Live entertainment

·       This event is free, family-friendly, and open to all

Willamette Cove Environmental Field Day

Discover the science behind environmental cleanups while learning about Willamette Cove during the Willamette Cove Environmental Field Day on Saturday June 25, 2022 from 10:00am – 2:00 pm.  This event is sponsored by the City of Portland, Port of Portland, Oregon Department of State Lands, Metro, Portland Harbor Community Coalition, Blueprint Foundation and the Human Access Project.  

  1. See the cool tools scientists use to sample soil and water
  2. Test your skills with science challenges
  3. LIVE core sampling demos at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
  4. Exploration stations for learning about cove history and cleanup science
  5. Meet the environmental team working at Willamette Cove

First 100 attendees receive FREE tickets to this year’s BIG FLOAT!
